Ansul Wheeled Units

The Right Extinguisher For Nearly Every Application...
Wheeled fire extinguishers are designed to protect areas of yourFire Pro's full line of Wheel Units operation where large fires could occur. In many of these locations, you may not have a large staff of trained fire fighters. So the fire extinguisher you choose must pack a tremendous fire-killing clout . . . yet be fully operated by one person familiar with its use.

For these applications, you need an Ansul wheeled fire extinguisher unit from Fire Pro! Every wheeled unit in the Ansul line can be put into operation by one person. They’re highly mobile and ruggedly built to withstand the rigors of most environments or terrain. And best of all, they carry the extra fire extinguishing capability Ansul fire protection equipment is famous for. The "extra margin of safety" which often means the difference between a suppressed fire and spreading a fire.

But that’s only the beginning. FirePro understands that applications differ and require a custom-designed fire extinguisher. So Ansul manufactures a complete line of wheeled extinguishers which we have custom built to your needs. ANSUL offers a variety of extinguishing agents specifically designed for your needs. And we provide a selection of special options designed to make your Ansul wheeled fire extinguisher the right extinguisher for every application.

Over what type of flooring will the units be pulled?
Special RUBBER TIRES are available on your Ansul Model 350-D for use in areas where special flooring could be damaged by metal wheels . . . or volatile areas where sparks from metal wheels could become an ignition source. Rubber tires are standard on the 150-D.

Will the extinguisher be used in corrosive environments?
For corrosive environments (such as offshore applications), Ansul provides a special CORROSION CONTROL COATING for increased protection against the effects of salt spray or chemicals.

Are pressure fires a possibility?
For fast, sure extinguishment of flammable liquid or combustible gas pressure fires, Ansul offers a LONG RANGE NOZZLE. It increases the range and flow rate of the extinguishing agent . . . allowing the fire fighter to concentrate the flow of dry chemical agent more effectively at the fuel source of the fire.

Will potential fires be large at the start?
Some fires begin small while others are large from the start. For the latter type of fire, Ansul recommends a QUICK-OPENING VALVE which cuts down on the time required to put the unit into operation. With the quick-opening valve, the fire fighter needs only to flip a lever to pressurize the extinguisher.

 Check These Ansul Features:

  1. The SINGLE VALVE is engineered for a fast, easy "one-step" actuation of the extinguisher. Simply turn the single valve to the open position and the unit is pressurized. The nitrogen cylinder’s VISUAL GAUGE provides an easy-to-read indication of the cylinder pressure.
  2. The FILL CAP features a red "pop-up" indicator which tells maintenance people at a glance that the extinguisher has been pressurized. It is especially designed so that it can be removed without special tools. It is corrosion resistant and features a pressure relief vent which gives off a warning sound and relieves pressure in the event that the fill cap is loosened while the unit is pressurized. The FILL CAP GASKET ensures an airtight seal between the fill cap and the shell. The FILL OPENING is large for quick refill.
  3. The entire wheeled extinguisher features WELDED STEEL CONSTRUCTION and the use of non-corrosive materials for less wear and longer life.
  4. The GAS TUBE features rubber check valves and is engineered to withstand impact and vibration. It ensures proper fluidization of dry chemical agent when the extinguisher. is actuated.
  5. The BOTTOM PLATE keeps the extinguisher upright and steady during operation and storage. It also protects the bottom of the shell from impact, vibration and corrosive elements.
  6. The aluminum NAMEPLATE is glare-resistant for maximum readability. Only vital elements are shown on the nameplate including:
    1. Hazard Identification — identifies hazards for which the extinguisher is suited by symbol-letter-color coding.
    2. Operating Instructions — simple, easy-to-follow instructions which allow even the novice fire-fighter to quickly an! correctly put the extinguisher into operation.
    3. After Use Instruction — gives complete blow-down and recharge instructions.
    4. Maintenance Instructions — gives basic maintenance instructions for the extinguisher.
  7. The NOZZLE has all stainless steel internal moving parts to ensure proper operation in all climates and atmospheres.
  8. The HOSE is made of a special neoprene copolymer which is resistant to the elements and retains its flexibility down to 400 F (-40° C). HOSE COUPLINGS are made of copper-free aluminum alloy for strength and resistance to corrosion-cracking.
  9. The ANSUL WARRANTY guarantees each Ansul extinguisher for FIVE YEARS from date of delivery to purchaser against defects in workmanship and materials. There are no implied warranties of FITNESS FOR PURPOSE OR MERCHANTABILITY. In no event shall Ansul be responsible for special or consequential damages.
